By Skye Rohde

Oswego, NY – A Hamilton College professor has been named New York State Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation. Vivyan Adair is an associate professor of women's studies and director of a program called the ACCESS Project that gives low-income parents in the region access to higher education. She's also a single parent and former welfare recipient who dropped out of high school. WRVO's Skye Rohde spoke with Adair about her experiences.
