SUNY/Erie Canal Bicentennial Forum

SUNY Oswego will host the next Erie Canal Bicentennial discussion on New York’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) program and its effect on DRI communities along the New York State Canal System. The Bicentennial Forum takes place Thursday, September 27th from 1 to 3:30pm in the Marano Campus Center on the SUNY Oswego campus. Please RSVP to canalevents@canals.ny.gov ahead of the event.

Panel discussions will address:

  1. Downtown Revitalization and Waterfront Redevelopment - The Mayors' Perspective on the DRI
  2. Revitalization Projects/Themes in DRI Communities

The keynote address will be delivered by John Maggiore, Director of Policy, office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, with additional comments from SUNY Oswego President Deborah Stanley. Following the presentations, panelists will take questions from SUNY Oswego students. The agenda is as follows:
