Welcoming friends to our downtown Syracuse studio

WRVO Public Media recently welcomed members of the community and alumni of SUNY Oswego to our satellite studio in downtown Syracuse. The Oswego Alumni Association hosted the event, which included an update on all of the exciting things happening at SUNY Oswego, live music with Jeff Sawyer and tours of the studios.

WRVO has been operating partially out of the studio, at the SUNY Oswego Metro Center in the Atrium building, since last summer. Our Syracuse-based reporter, Tom Magnarelli, records and files weekly stories from the studio. Our health and wellness program, "Take Care," utilizes the studios weekly to record the show and interview guests.

Attendees included SUNY Oswego alumni, friends of the station, SUNY Oswego staff, and others.

This downtown studio has been a welcome addition to our suite of recording spaces, used daily to bring our listeners the content they rely on. We'd like to give special thanks to SUNY Oswego, the Shineman Foundation and the Health Foundation for Western and Central New York for all of their help getting the space off the ground!

Thanks to everyone who came to see the studio and to chat with members of the WRVO staff, SUNY Oswego staff and alumni. Stay tuned for more events in the future.
