Congress Looks to Override SCHIP Veto

President Bush has vetoed a bill to expand the State Children's Health Insurance Program, known as SCHIP.

The president says the legislation is too expensive and an effort to federalize health care. However, the bill passed the House and Senate with bipartisan backing and is strongely supported by the public.

Still, Bush does not believe his veto will be overturned in the House, where more than a dozen Republicans would have to change their original vote against the bill.
