Singer-Songwriter Lynn Koch at Cortland Coffeehouse PLUS

The Cortland Coffeehouse PLUS is a monthly music, cafe, and book sale at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 3 Church St., Cortland. On Saturday, Feb. 21, from 7-9 p.m., the series presents Lynn Koch, who has been a musical presence in Cortland County since his arrival in 1987.

For nearly three decades, Koch taught vocal and instrumental music in Cincinnatus. He has also served as organist and choir director at McGrawville Baptist Church since 1990. Throughout his career, he has been involved with folk music as a performer, recording artist, researcher, arranger, and transcriber.

Koch’s program will be a potpourri of folk influences from throughout his many decades as a musician. The performance will include songs from his most recent CDs, his vast repertoire of New York state folk songs, and selections from American, British, and Irish traditions.
