In her State of the State speech Tuesday, Gov. Kathy Hochul is expected to focus on affordable housing, public safety and the state’s outmigration problem.

Hochul is giving her first State of the State address as the state's elected governor. She took over the state's top job in August 2021 after then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigned.
