Live coverage: Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony

NPR

Join NPR and WRVO this Wednesday morning for live coverage of Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees. Mueller is expected to answer questions about his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. He will appear in two separate hearings -- the first expected to begin around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24.

The hearing was already put on hold after lawmakers had questions about procedure for the sessions. They will now have more time to question the former special counsel. Mueller has said that he intends to keep his testimony to what he's already released in his report. Nevertheless, members of Congress will likely try to gather more information. Here's an idea of what they might ask on Wednesday.

Live coverage from NPR News will begin when the first hearing gets underway and continue until the hearings end. It will supersede WRVO’s usual programming. You’ll still be able to hear “Morning Edition” early in the day on Wednesday, presumably until at least 8 a.m. Should the hearings concluded before or during “Here and Now” or “All Things Considered,” you can expect considerable analysis and recap of the hearings during those programs and in the days to follow.

Jeremy Hobson will host coverage of the Mueller testimony, joined by many on the NPR News reporting team, including: justice correspondents Carrie Johnson and Ryan Lucas, Congressional Correspondent Susan Davis, White House Correspondent Tamara Keith and congressional reporters Kelsey Snell and Tim Mak.

Live video will also be available, as soon as hearings begin on Wednesday morning. Check back for that feature on Wednesday morning.
