The Energy in the 21st Century symposium series was founded by and continues to be directed by Dr. Rhea Jezer, environmental educator and policy advisor to elected officials in New York State and beyond. She is a consultant and advisor to candidates for election at all levels in both major political parties. Dr. Jezer was an environmental advisor to then Senator Hillary Clinton for nine years, and worked closely with President Bill Clinton, New York Governor George Pataki, Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, among others.
