Sherburne, NY – The Rogers Environmental Education Center in Sherburne, Chenango County, is on the state's list of facilities to close so it can save money in a difficult budget year.

The closing has caused an uproar in the community, with people fighting to save what they say is a treasured asset.

Reporter Gino Geruntino of the New York Reporting Project at Utica College visited the center and spoke with people in the community.
