VERONA. NY – Lots of people watched the Oscars Sunday night. Oneida Nation leader Ray Halbritter watched them, too. But he wasn't in his living room.
Halbritter attended the Oscars so he could lobby film industry executives and stars to use the Nation's production facility and to shoot their films in Upstate New York.
The Oneidas run Four Directions Productions, a film production house that produced an award-winning animated short called Raccoon and Crawfish.
Halbritter talked with WRVO's Dave Bullard about his work to bring films and jobs to the region.
