Soggy Spring Frustrates Growers, Gardeners

By Joyce Gramza

Oswego, NY – It's official. The Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell University says it's a record spring for rainfall in Central New York.

"It's been the second-wettest spring in the Syracuse area since record-keeping began in 1903," says climatologist Kathryn Vreeland. "Binghamton, Buffalo Ithaca are all the wettest March first through May 18th on record."

As WRVO's Joyce Gramza reports, all that rain means soggy soil for farmers and gardeners.
