Connect remotely with StoryCorps and preserve a moment in history

StoryCorps Connect

In this historic pandemic, people across the country are feeling alone. But what if one meaningful conversation could make a difference? WRVO is proud to be partnering with StoryCorps to help you share a moment of connection with your loved ones through a new remote technology.

StoryCorps Connect is a first-of-its-kind platform that enables anyone to record a StoryCorps interview with a loved one remotely using video conference technology -- this is how listeners have been enjoying regular StoryCorps segments during "Morning Edition" in an age of social distancing. Like others, your interview will become part of American history, with audio and a photo preserved at the Library of Congress. Hundreds of years from now, future generations will listen in.

Learn more and honor a loved one with an interview today at storycorpsconnect.org. When you're finished, be sure to tag your interview with the keyword "WRVO." From there, share it on social media with your friends, family, neighbors and community. Consider it a way to reach out and connect in a time where those things can't happen naturally.

Are you a teacher? Educator? Download the StoryCorps Connect toolkit for multimedia resources and lessons to support young people as they learn to interview, record, and listen to the stories of family members and loved ones. Make it part of your next lesson plan -- a mix of comprehension, writing, history and more.
