This week: Safe holiday prep, hemorrhoids and advanced directives

The holiday season is likely to be different for many of us this year because of the pandemic. In this episode of “HealthLink on Air,” Dr. Kaushal Nanavati talks about the traditions that can safely take place this year, and how to meaningfully connect with people if you cannot be together.

Nanavati is the assistant dean of wellness at Upstate, and assistant professor of family medicine and the medical director of integrative therapy.

Also this week, Dr. Kristina Go explains the role of hemorrhoids and treatments, including surgery, if they cause problems. And, social worker Antonia Canuso-Reiner goes over advanced directives and the medical paperwork everyone should have in place, in case they are incapacitated by illness or injury. Listen this Sunday, November 15 at 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. for more.
