Oswego, NY –
WRVO has been honored by the Syracuse Press Club and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association for stories and programs aired in 2010.
At the AP's annual awards banquet in Saratoga Springs on June 4, WRVO picked up 16 awards, including 9 first place awards. WRVO's Innovation Trail reporter Emma Jacobs was the only other person to win an AP award in the Small Market category (Emma's awards were won for her work at Binghamton's WSKG).
In addition, WRVO also won the grand prize, the Steve Flanders award, given to the radio station in the most first place finishes.
WRVO also received 10 of the 17 awards handed out by the Syracuse Press Club in the radio category during the Press Club's annual banquet on May 7.
