A winter storm will move through the area Sunday and Monday, leaving as much as a foot of snow in some spots by late Monday.
Winter storm warnings are in effect for all of central and northern New York until 4 a.m. Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin during the day Sunday, with 2-4 inches possible by Sunday night. Snow will continue overnight, with another 2-4 inches possible by Monday morning. Another 3-5 inches are possible by the time the storm moves out of the region late Monday night. Total accumulations for the storm will range from 8-12 inches around the region from Sunday afternoon to late Monday night.
With the snow expected to fall over a 24 hour period, the impact on Monday's commute won't be as severe as with last Monday's storm, but roads will still be snow covered and slippery.
