Matt Chase formed Thunder Canyon in 1993; since that time the group has enjoyed a reputation as one of the top “Hot Country” bands in central New York, as well as performing covers, favorite traditional country hits, and original material. The group performs in many venues, from nightclubs, parks, and field days to county fairs, weddings, and private parties. The band has performed on the national stage as well.

The band is fronted by originator Matt Case, considered to be one of the top Country vocalists in central New York, also playing guitar and keyboards. Backing Matt is steel guitar player Gary Burns, Rance Walters on drums, Derek Powers on bass, and Mike Bullock on lead guitar.
