By Skye Rohde

Oswego, NY – A 16-year-old from Syracuse has been recognized for her work fighting global poverty. Welch has been speaking out against child labor and raising money for children in Third World countries since she attended the Student Conference for Human Rights at the United Nations five years ago. She spoke with WRVO's Skye Rohde about her work.
