U.N. Ambassador Bolton Announces Resignation

John Bolton, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, has announced he will resign within weeks.

Bolton's permanent confirmation to the job had been blocked by Senate Democrats and several Republicans.

James Traub, author of The Best Intentions: Kofi Annan and the UN in the Era of American World Power, talks with Mike Pesca about Bolton's announcement.
