A Reprise On Roadside Viewing Of Wildlife

This archived broadcast, A Reprise On Roadside Viewing of Wildlife, from John Weeks',  Nature of Things, talks about a trip that he likes to take. Weeks says that he makes weekly trips to the Cayuga Nature Center on the west side of Cayuga lake and north of Ithaca. He talks about how he like's to get up  early and go and eat his breakfast on the way since there are many different things that he notices. Weeks' talks about during mid January the days are lengthened and there are birds everywhere as well as the different waterfall viewing that he notices. Also he talks about a time where there was a red fox that dashed across the snow covered road. This broadcast mentions different things that he'd see at the Cayuga Nature Center.

John Weeks studied ornithology and wildlife management at Cornell University and earned a graduate degree in plant ecology from Syracuse University. He has served as Conservation Biologist for the NYS Conservation Department; Associate Professor of Biology at SUNY Oswego; Founding Director of The Rogers Environmental Education Center at Sherburne, NY; and Director of the Onondaga Nature Center and Center for Nature Education at Baltimore Woods, Marcellus, NY. He assisted in the creation of the Cayuga Nature Center and the Sterling Nature Center in Cayuga County near Fair Haven, NY.
