50th Anniversary of Betty Bone Schiess, champion of women priests
Join us in celebrating women's rights advocate Betty Bone Schiess, who defied the Episcopal Church by serving as a priest in 1975, when women weren't "allowed" to be priests. Grace Church celebrates her work, which “set in motion a new feminist reformation that would change forever the way church and society viewed and treated women.” A joyous celebration including two choirs, two bishops, an icon unveiling, and an exhibit of historic photos and artifacts.
