Join FOCUS for a discussion on how our region is evolving. Micron is set to begin construction on four new chip fabrication facilities this November, while Onondaga County is investing $27 million in land to attract supply chain companies. This growth will necessitate more housing. How will the County and City address this challenge? Will we create walkable “town growth centers” with mixed-use developments near Micron, or continue the trend of suburban single-family homes? How much housing will be developed in the City, and can this opportunity help tackle the affordable housing crisis?
