Citizens Academy is an educational program that informs citizens about how local governments are organized and how services are funded and delivered. Learn about citizen involvement through an integrated approach to economic vitality, social equity, and a healthy environment.

Participants join a strong network of over 600 engaged alumni. This highly acclaimed program has provided an enriching experience to a diverse group of citizens ranging from public officials, college professors, business owners, students, and community members. The program allows those who live and/or work in Onondaga County to meet key government officials and community leaders, engage in a dialogue by asking pertinent questions, and learn from the experts, as well as network with fellow engaged citizens.

The 2024 Winter program will run on Wednesday evenings from January 31 to April 10. Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. A light, meal will be provided for each session.
