This week: Dental care during the pandemic; choosing the best beverage

Many dental offices scaled back and only cared for patients with emergency dental problems as the pandemic began. Later, dental practices resumed taking care of patients with more routine dental needs -- and some of the issues had grown from minor to major in that time period.

In this episode of "HealthLink on Air," two assistant professors of surgery who specialize in dental surgery will talk about the growing incidence of grinding and clenching, which has led to an increase in fractured teeth, tied to the stress associated with the pandemic. Patrick Smith and Jean Diflorio also give advice about how to maintain dental health.

Also on the show this week, Dr. Kaushal Nanavati, the assistant dean for wellness at Upstate, tells what's important to consider when choosing a beverage. Listen this Sunday, November 1 at 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. for more.
