Oswego, NY – New York State is considering a measure that would apply the same provisions for treatment of domestic victims of human trafficking that already exist for victims of international human trafficking.
The New York State Assembly recently held a roundtable discussion with stake-holders to see what can be done on the state level to combat the exploitation of persons for commercial sex or forced labor.
Rachel Lloyd, the Executive Director and Founder of Girls Educational and Mentoring services (GEMS) was among the invited speakers. She says until now, the responses have been different.
