Oswego, NY – New York's horse racing industry is valued at over $1 billion, but once a race horse hits its prime...and the thrill of the race is over...the fate of these retired horses that still have many years left to live, is uncertain.

WRVO's Jasmyn Belcher has this story about one Central New York woman working to find happy endings for ex-race horses, which might otherwise end up in a slaughterhouse or in another ill-fated outcome.
