Oswego, NY – Republican candidate for governor, Rick Lazio is proposing two new laws that he says would improve New York's budget process.
Lazio's plan would require the comptroller to certify that the budget is balanced and not just sufficient. It would also give the governor new power to make mid-year budget cuts.
WRVO's Jasmyn Belcher spoke with Lazio. He explains how his two proposals would be helping New York's current situation.
