Government Sponsored Appliance Rebate is Under Way

Oswego, NY – Starting today, New Yorkers who purchase qualified energy efficient appliances are eligible to receive rebates of up to $555.00.

The program is called New York's Great Appliance Swap Out. It is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Currently, $16.8 million in rebates are available to consumers all across the state who buy qualified appliances between today and February 21st.

The program is aimed at helping consumers save money on energy costs by reducing their energy usage while providing a needed boost to the economy. Rebates range from $50 to $555.00 depending on the appliance.
