SUNY Oswego Students to Protest at Commencement

Oswego, NY – While some SUNY Oswego students will be receiving their diplomas at commencement next week, some students have a different agenda.

Secretary of the Army John McHugh is expected to receive an honorary degree during Oswego's graduation ceremony next week, and some students are planning to protest his visit based on their opposition to the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy. DADT allows gay and lesbian people to serve in the military as long as they aren't open about their sexual orientation.

As WRVO's Jasmyn Belcher reports, the discussion is already heating up.
