Oswego, NY – As her latest book, "Forge," reaches bookstores, Mexico, New York young adult novelist Laurie Halse Anderson sits down for a conversation with WRVO's Joyce Gramza.

"Forge," the second book in Halse Anderson's "Seeds of America" trilogy, is set at Valley Forge during the American Revolution.

Its main character, a soldier fighting for his country's freedom, is himself a runaway slave.

"Forge" is the sequel to "Chains," which was a National Book Award finalist.
