Oswego, NY – Head of SUNY Research Foundation Resigns

The State University of New York Board of Trustees today unanimously accepted the resignation of one of its top officials.

The resignation comes amid an internal audit and dual ethics probes by the state comptroller and the inspector general.

John J. O'Connor resigned his two SUNY positions, as well as his job heading the SUNY Research Foundation, which oversees more than $1 billion a year in research grants for the SUNY system.
