According to the Walton Reporter, she was charged with disorderly conduct and sentenced to 15 days in jail. Even prosecutors say they didn't ask for such a harsh penalty.   • In 1956, dentist and amateur ornithologist William Rhein captured the rare Imperial woodpecker on 16 mm color film. Although this 85 second clip is the only known photographic record of the bird, Rhein kept the film to himself until after he died. Writer and bird fanatic Tim Gallagher tells the story of Rhein's expedition to look for the bird, and his own trip to the same mountains over 50 years later.
  • Analysts are predicting a fairly good year for retailers over the holiday season. Those sales are expected to increase 3 percent overall and go up 15 percent for online retailers. Plus, this is the first year tablets like the iPad may make an impact on the retail landscape.
  • Several years ago a man uploaded a clip of his son getting his finger chomped on by his baby brother. The upload became a YouTube sensation. Britain's Daily Telegraph reports that dad has made more than $150,000 from that video. YouTube makes deals with people whose videos could become hits, and offers them some of the revenues from ads it places on the video's page.
