After more than 25 years, "Only a Game," public radio's sports show, is hanging up its cleats. The show's final episode will air on September 26 on WRVO.
"We're sorry to see this tradition come to an end," says WRVO Station Manager Bill Drake. "We congratulate the show's hosts and producers for many years of helping WRVO listeners start their weekend with a fun and uniquely public radio way of looking at the human side of sports."
Starting in October, WRVO will present an additional airing of "Travel with Rick Steves" at 7 a.m. Saturdays. Since making its debut earlier this year on Sunday afternoons, "Travel with Rick Steves" has already acquired an enthusiastic listenership, and we're excited to provide an extra opportunity for WRVO listeners to hear it on Saturday mornings.
