Fly Fishing Class

Fly Fishing Class

With some of the best trout fishing in the Northeast right on our doorstep, maybe you've thought about taking up fly fishing, but haven't gotten around to it. Here's a great opportunity to get yourself off to a great start in this relaxing, wonderful sport.

Unity Hall has arranged for a special introductory fly fishing class with Acee Acee, a registered fly fishing guide for nearly 30 years.  Although he has fished throughout the US and internationally in both fresh and saltwater, he still loves casting his lines for wild trout in his home waters every chance he gets.

For the past decade, he has taught the art of fly fishing to Hamilton College students. He also offers private lessons and gets immense satisfaction introducing new students to the beauty and relaxation of fly fishing.

This special session will get beginners off to a confident start and introduce them to new and very exciting horizons.  You'll learn about gear, tackle, the basics of casting and how to "read" the waters.

Acee will cover Hands-on knot tying, provide pointers on tackle and gear selection, which flies to use when and recommend the most reliable resources.

In order to make the session as beneficial as possible, this 90-minute clinic will be kept small, so you are encouraged to sign-up quickly.  All ages are welcome, but this session will be an introductory one. Register below. Cost to attend is $20 and all proceeds go to Unity Hall.
