High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) therapy is an outpatient, nonsurgical option that destroys the cancerous part of the prostate gland with ultrasound waves, leaving healthy tissue alone. Dr. Jacob will discuss who could be a candidate for this therapy, what the treatment entails, side effects, recovery, and the pros and cons of this option. Additionally, he will cover the questions patients should consider when evaluating treatment options. In partnership with the Men to Men Prostate Cancer support group.
