Screening & Discussion: “True Grit (1969)”

A movie poster for the film "True Grit." It features a large, sepia-toned portrait of a smiling John Wayne wearing an eyepatch, flanked by smaller images of co-stars Kim Darby holding a pistol and Glen Campbell holding a rifle. The poster includes the actors' names, the title "TRUE GRIT," and the tagline "The strangest trio ever to track a killer."

Screening & Discussion: “True Grit (1969)”

A drunken, hard-nosed U.S. Marshal and a Texas Ranger help a stubborn teenager track down her father’s murderer in the old American West. Andrew Patrick Nelson, Chief Curator of Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, will join us virtually as our moderator to introduce the film and lead a Q&A afterwards.

Admission to this program is free, although donations are greatly appreciated.

This film is part of the “Into the Sunset” Western Film Series at the Cayuga Museum.
