Oswego, NY – The labor union representing New York State Troopers is calling for an independent, outside investigation into State Police management of the search for fugitive Ralph Phillips.
Phillips escaped from a Buffalo-area jail in April. In June...Phillips was accused of shooting a State Trooper. The trooper later recovered. In August, the search intensified but police failed to capture Phillips before two other troopers were shot and wounded. One later died.
WRVO's Chris Ulanowski spoke to the President of the New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association, Daniel De Federicis.
