This week on the Campbell Conversations, host Grant Reeher speaks with two researchers who believe they have discovered a productive way to talk to citizens about same-sex marriage and other LGBT rights issues. Melissa Michelson and Brian Harrison are co-authors of a new book titled Listen, We Need to Talk:  How to Change Attitudes about LGBT Rights.  Their conversation explores how public views about same-sex marriage, and LGBT rights more generally, have changed over time, as well as the current debate over transgender access to public facilities and other gender-specific entities.

Grant Reeher is a Political Science Professor and Senior Research Associate at the Campbell Public Affairs Institute at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship. He is also creator, host and program director of “The Campbell Conversations” on WRVO, a weekly regional public affairs program featuring extended in-depth interviews with regional and national writers, politicians, activists, public officials, and business professionals.
