He came to NPR in 2015 from Politico, where he was a Pentagon correspondent and defense editor. Previously, he served as managing editor of Military.com, and before that he covered the U.S. Navy for the Military Times newspapers.

Bill has more than 25 years of public radio experience. Before joining WRVO, he was Program Director for Northern Public Radio, WNIU and WNIJ, at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.

Ellen produces news reports and features related to events that occur in the greater Syracuse area and throughout Onondaga County. Her reports are heard regularly in regional updates in Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

Jessica Cain is a freelance reporter for WRVO, covering issues across central New York. Jessica brings extensive national news experience to the team, having previously worked as a package producer for Fox News in New York City, where she covered major events, including national political conventions and elections. Earlier in her career, she served as a reporter and anchor for multiple media outlets throughout central and northern New York. A native of Camillus, Jessica enjoys exploring the outdoors with her daughters, attending the theater, playing the piano, and reading.

Kelly is WRVO’s Digital Coordinator, where she manages the station's website and social media channels. Kelly earned a degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communication from SUNY Oswego, continuing a family tradition as the fifth graduate from the university.
