The summit explores how digital and social media have become critical avenues for launching movements and advocating change. Guests include professional communication strategists, an expert on modern social movements and a grassroots community organizer.

SUNY Oswego’s School of Communication, Media and the Arts hosts the Dr. Lewis B. O’Donnell Media Summit each fall. It’s a day-long event that welcomes media professionals to campus for engaging conversations about timely, important topics facing media industries and media consumers. The Media Summit was founded in 2005 by Lou Borrelli ’77 and Al Roker ’76. It is named in memory of their beloved professor, the late Dr. Lewis B. O’ Donnell.
