Tuned to Yesterday At the Movies, Live Q&A

Join us for a special virtual presentation of the 1950 film noir, “Quicksand.” The film stars Mickey Rooney, who played against his typical casting as the innocent “nice guy.” Rooney plays Dan Brady, a young auto mechanic who “borrows” $20 from a cash register to pay for a date with a femme fatale played by Jeanne Cagney. Disastrous circumstances quickly lead the situation to spiral out of control and Dan finds himself drawn into an ever-worsening “quicksand” of crime. WRVO's Mark Lavonier will also bring you Rooney's radio story before his most popular noir role.
