New York has a new governor. Kathy Hochul was sworn in at midnight Tuesday as the state’s 57th governor, following the resignation of Andrew Cuomo. Hochul takes over the state’s top job with a big list of challenges ahead of her, as COVID-19 cases are again rising. Hochul will hold a ceremonial swearing-in at the State Capitol at 10 a.m., followed by a news conference.
