Erie Canal Museum Gingerbread Gallery

Erie Canal Museum Gingerbread Gallery

Each year the Erie Canal Museum transforms into a festive 1800s canal town street scene with gingerbread creations on display in storefront windows. In a typical year, we see over 6,000 visitors during the Gingerbread Gallery!

Before or after you visit the Gingerbread Gallery, be sure to explore the rest of the Museum. We share 200 years of Erie Canal history through exhibits and original artifacts. A visit to the Museum includes a full-size replica canal boat, exhibits about Erie Canal commerce and communities, the award-winning Locktender’s Garden, and the 1850 National Register Weighlock Building.

During the Gingerbread Gallery, admission to the Museum is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors (65+), $4 for children 3-17, and free for children 2 & under. Tickets are available at the door and not available to pre-purchase. The gallery is open daily from 10 am-4 pm except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and the gallery will close at 2 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
