The History Department, I Am Oz and Living Writers Present: Ta-Nehisi Coates
SUNY Oswego's History Department, I Am Oz and the Living Writers Series are honored to present a reading and conversation with Ta-Nehisi Coates.
#1 New York Times bestselling author Ta-Nehisi Coates is a National Book Award winner, a MacArthur Fellowship recipient, and an award-winning journalist. His bestselling books include "The Water Dancer," "The Beautiful Struggle," "We Were Eight Years in Power" and "Between the World and Me." Coates has been the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship and is celebrated for his authoring of Marvel’s "Black Panther" and "Captain America" comics series. Born and raised among six siblings in Baltimore, Maryland, Coates was raised by an educator (his mother) and the founder of Black Classic Press, a publishing company specializing in books by Black writers (his father).
While admission is free, tickets are required.
