Dan Apfel on the Campbell Conversations

Responsible Endowments Coalition

Colleges and universities were once seen as national leaders in responsible investing, but they've largely lost that edge. That's the view of this week's guest on the Campbell Conversations, Dan Apfel, executive director of the Responsible Endowments Coalition.

Apfel describes how the coalition is trying to change the way that institutions of higher learning invest, and why that effort contributes to education's broader goals.

Grant Reeher is a Political Science Professor and Senior Research Associate at the Campbell Public Affairs Institute at Syracuse University's Maxwell School of Citizenship. He is also creator, host and program director of “The Campbell Conversations” on WRVO, a weekly regional public affairs program featuring extended in-depth interviews with regional and national writers, politicians, activists, public officials, and business professionals.
WRVO is now well into its second year without federal funding. Through it all, our mission has stayed the same: serving central and upstate New York with trusted journalism, vital local coverage, and the diverse programming that informs and connects our communities. Listeners like you are what keep journalists on the ground, asking the hard questions that matter to our region.

Stand with public media and make your gift today. You'll be supporting more than yourself. You'll be supporting everyone who depends on WRVO as a trusted resource and civic cornerstone in central and upstate New York.
