After campaigning in Rochester and Albany over the last few days, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will bring his campaign to Rome on Tuesday. Trump will hold an event at Griffiss International Airport at 4:00 p.m.
Those who wish to attend the event must register for tickets in advance. Only two tickets can be registered per person. Doors for the event open at 1:00 p.m.
Trump is also expected to visit Syracuse on Saturday. The time and location for that event has not yet been finalized. There are also unconfirmed reports that he may visit Watertown on Saturday as well.
All of the presidential candidates have been holding events in upstate New York ahead of the state's primary on April 19. Republican John Kasich visited Syracuse last Friday. He's expected to visit Watertown this Friday. Republican Ted Cruz has only held one event in upstate New York. Democrat Bernie Sanders will be in Syracuse on Tuesday, after holding events in Binghamton, Albany and Buffalo on Monday. Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton campaigned in Buffalo and Rochester on Friday. She campaigned in Syracuse on April 1.
