Sandy causing scattered power outages, school closings

The winds are starting to die down around central and northern New York, but high winds last night have caused power outages and some schools around the region decided on Monday to close or delay this morning.

Central New York seems to have been spared from the worst of the wind and rain, but several parts of the region are still without power this morning. Click here for the latest updates

Auburn City Schools - Closed

Christian Brothers Academy - Closed

Colgate University - Closed

Dryden Central Schools - 2 hour delay

Dundee Central Schools - Closed

Hamilton Central Schools - 2 hour delay

Ithaca City Schools - Closed

LeMoyne College - Closed

Madison Central Schools - 2 hour delay

Manlius Pebble Hill School - Closed

Montessori School of Syracuse - Closed

Morrisville-Eaton Central Schools - 2 hour delay

North Rose-Wolcott Central Schools - Closed

North Syracuse Public and Parochial Schools - Gillette Rd MS ONLY is closed

Notre Dame Jr/Sr HS in Utica - Closed

Seneca Falls Central Schools - 2 hour delay

SUNY Oswego - Classes resume at noon

Syracuse University - Closed

Tompkins-Cortland Community College - Closed

Utica City Schools - Closed

Waterloo Central Schools - Closed
