'Mr. Dickens Comes to Utica': Movie Screening

'Mr. Dickens Comes to Utica': Movie Screening

Famous 19th-century English author Charles Dickens made two trips to America. Noteworthy for Oneida County’s history, Dickens made an unscheduled 18-hour layover in Utica March 17-18, 1868, en route to performances in Albany. His unexpected presence at Bagg’s Hotel caused a stir among the locals. Why Utica? That is the topic of this Oneida County History Center documentary created by Dennis Dewey. Join us for the movie premier that shares this exciting story.
