Macsherry Summer Basket Raffle: All proceeds will benefit the library. We have a beautiful barn quilt, a beautiful aluminum picture of Anna from the Cape. We have a beautiful quilt that was made by our Monday Macsherry quilters, along with lots more. Tickets are 1 for $2 or 3 for $5. Tickets for the barn quilt will be drawn July 24 and the baskets will be drawn August 29 during our meet and greet.
The Macsherry Library book sale is now open until Labor Day, September 1. We have a huge selection of books. We have DVDs, lots of children’s books, and puzzles. Our hours are Mon 9-5, Tue 9-8, Wed 9-8, Thur 9-5, Fri 9-5, and Sat 9-1.

Breast cancer survivorship focuses on a person’s well-being after they complete treatment. This four-part series will address a variety of topics for survivors, including intimacy, long-term and late-term side effects, early menopause and self-care. The target audience for this series is for women with breast cancer, or who have completed treatment for breast cancer, who are under age 49.

Dr. Burke will explore stages and symptoms of menopause, the latest treatments, as well as lifestyle recommendations and research findings. Calling all nature-loving bookworms! The Literature & Nature Book Group at Baltimore Woods welcomes you to nourish and enhance your appreciation of the natural world with ongoing friendly discussions of great writing on that theme. Open to all interested adult members of the community, we will meet at the Interpretive Center (or outside if weather permits) one Saturday a month to delve into a reading of fiction or creative nonfiction chosen by participants.
Our next meeting will take place on September 6 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon, when we will be discussing Playground by Richard Powers.
