In this eight-week series, students will learn the foundational skills for throwing pots on the wheel. They will learn centering, basic throwing techniques, trimming, glazing, and more to begin their journey with clay. While this class is geared toward beginners, students who have some introductory skills that they wish to expand on are welcome. Price includes 25 pounds of clay, access to the clay studio outside of class, and use of community tools and glazes.

The C.A.S.E. (Culture, Art, Science, and Environment) Camp at the Cayuga Museum of History & Art is a youth camp that connects campers ages 12-14 with their community through the historical, natural, and cultural significance of the City of Auburn. Each day of camp will feature a different theme to explore, with partnering organizations joining on various days to dive into assorted topics.

2025 Erie Canal Artists-in-Residence Sarah Cameron Sunde and Kari Varner explore the Canal from an environmental lens.
Kari Varner, a distinguished photographer and educator, explored key ecological sites along the canal, integrating harvested plants into her photographic artworks. Sarah Cameron Sunde, an innovative interdisciplinary artist, engaged with canal communities to create pieces that physically and ecologically connect with the canal. She also developed work in collaboration with Jeremy Dennis, a contemporary fine art photographer and an enrolled Tribal Member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton, NY.

The Singing Summer Camp is a week-long intensive for teens who want to become better singers. We sing solos for each other and in groups, learn about the voice as a somatic instrument, and most importantly, connect to the profound JOY that we can experience when singing!
