A searing new musical about protest, loss, and the power of art.

“Look the beast in the eyes, and stare. Say a rebel prayer.” When a politically provocative play costs her father his life, 16-year-old Nikita and her mother are forced to flee Moscow for Domikov, a remote Russian town where tyrannical headmistress Ludmilla Mukhina rules the local school with an iron fist. Mired in grief and desperate to return home, Nikita is visited by the spirits of Pussy Riot, the real-life punk-protest collective imprisoned for their art. But when they offer Nikita one of their masks to carry on her father’s legacy, Nikita is faced with a dangerous choice: submit, or rebel?

Experience exciting robotics demonstrations, student-built competition robots, and hands-on activities featuring technology from across the region.

Admission to FLX REX activities is included with regular museum admission. As always, kids and teens 17 and under receive free admission.

• Robotics Scrimmage: High-energy match play and cutting-edge engineering take center stage in the auditorium as 14 robotics teams face off in live scrimmages throughout the day.
• Law Enforcement Bots: Explore real-world robotics up close as industry bots are showcased. Learn how automation and robotics play a vital role in modern policing and public safety.
• Drone Soccer: Experience fast-paced excitement in the Innovations Center. Watch skilled pilots maneuver drones through goals in a tech-driven sport combining strategy and precision flying.
• Robot Mario Kart: Head to the Gather Gallery to watch robots race through a custom course inspired by the classic game.
• Hot Glass Demonstrations: Drop by the amphitheater to watch the Hot Glass Team create robot-inspired designs. Watch molten glass transformed into mechanical creations right before your eyes.

In this three-day advanced appliqué class, students will use either silk or cotton fabrics to make one of the blocks featured in Deborah Kemball’s pattern pack, Floral Abundance. Attendees will make various insects, skinny stems, leaves, and petals, and learn pattern transfer techniques, sequencing layered applique, and several embroidery stitches. For all skill levels.

TAT2 Spirits, maker of the world's only sugar-free Old Fashioned RTD as well as other sugar-free RTD cocktails, will be conducting tastings and bottle sales.

March is National Women's History Month!

Stop into the NOPL North Syracuse Community Room during regular library hours (Monday through Saturday) all month long and take a walk through the story of women whose lives were impacted by the Erie Canal, whether they worked on it, traveled on it, or had their political awakenings as a result of it. This exhibit is based upon the vast collection of images owned by the Erie Canal Museum, as well as Canal writings.

Cazenovia Artisans presents local art teacher's artwork in an exhibition for the month of March. An opening reception for the artists and guests will be offered on Saturday, March 7, 2-4 PM. and is open to the public.

The Kirkland Art Center presents "Broken," a rare juried exhibition opening Saturday, March 21. Featuring work from over two dozen, largely regional artists, the show offers a nuanced look at the concept of brokenness from multiple perspectives.

The exhibition, juried by Mary Murray, curator of contemporary art at Munson, utilizes a wide range of media—including painting, photography, and sculpture—to explore how brokenness manifests emotionally, physically, socially, and systemically. While the pieces examine damage and loss, they also highlight themes of revelation, transformation, and resilience.

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, residents of southern Oswego County and the Oneida Lake North Shore Communities will join peacefully together with millions of Americans across the country to support the maintenance of our safety and freedoms. We will gather at the intersection of Rt. 11 and Hwy 49 to proclaim that America has NO KINGS. Voter registration and voter information will be available.
